Working Residential Structure Fire – Washington Twp

Working house fire in Washinton Twp. E9-2 was first in with FF Wallace driving Captain Widmayer as officer(later assuming Charlie Division), Captain Knowlton as Fire Attack with FF Kohler on the knob and FF Harner backing him up and FF Canup hooking. E9-2 arrived with light smoke from the eaves of a single story home from the front 2 story from the rear with multiple additions. Captain Widmayer completed a walk around comfirming a working basement fire and checked that ultilities were secured and no kinks in the line. The crew forced the basement door and was immediately met with thick brown smoke. Crews went to work knocking the fire while other crews began to arrive. Fire attack got the knock while other crews completed the primary search on divsion 1. Checks were made for extension with nothing found. Fire was contained to basement area with substantial smoke damage to division 1. Fire marshal is on scene confirming cause at this time.

Vehicle Accident – Dover Twp

‎1 car into a tree 1 patient. R9 was dispatched for a vehicle accident with injuries class 2 to Hilton ave in the area of Bull rd. R9 responded with 4 leaving behind a live-in driver to bring responders from home on the engine. R9 ended up locating the vehicle on the other side of Bull rd in Conewago Twp. Captain 9 requested dispatch to notify station 26 of the call and the crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle, assessing the patient and immobilizing the patient. E9-1 arrived and took suppression duties and shortly there after cleared the scene. A6 took over patient care and R9 remained for the tow truck and debris removal.

Kitchen Fire – Dover Twp

Around 1300hrs DTFD was dispatched to a reported kitchen fire on the 2000 block of Ashcombe Dr in Dover Township. Engine 9-1 arrived to find light smoke on side charlie. The crew was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher. Crews were on scene for about an hour.
