Around 2200 hrs on Saturday the 17th of April, DTFD was dispatched to a report of a chimney fire on the 2100 block of Taxville Rd in West Manchester Twp. Crews arrived on scene with smoke coming from the eaves of the structure. The fire progressed rapidly and crews went to a defensive attack. There were no injuries and the homeowners were able to escape unharmed. Engine 9-1, 9-2, and Rescue 9 were dispatched to the fire. An engine from station 23 stood by at station 9 to cover Dover Twp while crews were on scene.
